Chiranjith Barui

Chiranjith Barui is a Design Educator and Industrial Designer with over 12 years of experience bridging academic excellence and industry innovation. He views design as a powerful embodiment of purpose, intelligence, and emotion, focusing his career on teaching students how to create products that are not only practical and structurally efficient but also capable of evoking positive human experiences.

At JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), he serves as Programme Head for both the Undergraduate (B.Des.) and Postgraduate (M.Des.) Product Design programs, while steering departmental quality standards as the IQAC Coordinator. He has mentored more than 75 major and minor student design projects, and is the Co-Founder and former Chief Design Officer of Travancore Creative Consultant.

Chiranjith actively explores the intersection of utilitarian problem-solving and smart manufacturing, holding a registered Indian Patent for Adaptive Self-Lacing Footwear alongside 14+ design registrations. As a design consultant, he has executed briefs for corporate and medical tech clients including Aurolabs, Elkaytronics, and Enlivening Technologies, and has led corporate training seminars on concept visualisation and future transportation for organizations such as BOSCH RBEI.
